Chanting pro-immigrant slogans — “All of us or none of us,” “Democrats deport” and “We are not a bargaining chip” — more than 60 young people overwhelmed a Monday news conference that House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi had organized on her home turf in San Francisco to urge passage of the DREAM Act to protect immigrants who were brought to the country as children.
After nearly an hour of boisterous chanting from the group, which called itself “Undocumented Youth,” Pelosi and fellow House Democrats Barbara Lee of Oakland and Jared Huffman of San Rafael packed up and left the carefully orchestrated event.
Among the dozens of people leading the disruption was Luis Angel. He called on Pelosi to fight for a “clean bill” that doesn’t make concessions to the Trump administration and includes a path to citizenship for the roughly 11 million immigrants who are in the U.S., without legal status.
“Where were you when we asked to defend our parents?” the group chanted in a call-and-response led by Angel. “And now you tell us — you have the audacity to tell us — you have been fighting deportation. You are a liar! You are a liar! You are a liar!”

FYI, 3 of my 4 grandparents and 6 of my 8 great grandparents - plus my wife - were born in other countries. All came here legally, most (including my wife) proudly became citizens, and none asked for any handouts. So I’m not opposed to immigrants - not any more than Donald Trump (with his own family history of immigrants) is - but illegals are another matter.
They have no standing to protest - they are committing a crime just by being here after hitting the age of 18. So, if they don’t like the fact that we may put conditions on some kind of an amnesty - which may result in some of those DACA folks being forced to leave - well, then, nothing is keeping them here. Leave. Get out. VAMOOSE!

It’s something like Hillary: the illegals have the support of the MSM, Uniparty, powerful corporations, unions, etc., etc.

Remains to be seen I suppose. I don’t see it that way. To me it’s basic chess. You sacrifice pawns if it advances your general position on the board. The Dreamers are the left’s strategic queen. Look at these protesters, chanting “all of us, or none of us”. They know.
It’s wonderful to watch Trump in action, isn’t it? Just when the less tuned-in to his methods thinks he has sold out or bombed, he’s winning so big. I am SO looking forward to watching these swamp creatures attempt to write their DACA bill. They’ll be at each other’s throats before the 6-mo deadline comes around.

That’s a good point. But the biggest problem with it is, if you give them anything they’ll come back wanting more.
These aren’t “anchor babies”. These people weren’t afraid of being arrested because they have DACA immunity (at least for now).
Obama tried to piggyback DAPA (the illegal parents) onto his bootstrapped DACAns: illegal yutes. That took a lot of chutspah: trying to stack illegality on top of illegality—for foreigners here illegally.
The `yutes’ want permanent amnesty for themselves and for every illegal they know.
No way Jose. Been there, done that. If the DACAns have framed the issue as “all or nothing,” then nada. Harsh? It was their call.
You can get an ulcer or you can trust Trump. He said he’d lay out the ground rules for this bill. He understands his base and that his reelection depends on not selling us out. If you’re happier worrying, that’s your choice. Just don’t ask me to join in.
