At one point I was diagnosed with Fibro. Turns out I had MS.
Sometimes I think it’s easier for the Dr. to just slap a diagnosis of Fibro on a patient than it is to get to the proper diagnosis.
That’s what scares me. I know someone who had “Fibro” but it turned out to be Depression. That is scary because untreated Depression can get bad quickly.
FMS has only 1 test, the 20 pairs of twin trigger pain points. They are like a bad deep bruise, only no skin discoloration.
FMS comes with BRAIN FOG, nerve pain, besides the muscle pain, severe fatigue. Even trigger locking fingers, toes, or spasms to calf muscles. You can get so painful even your clothes hurt to wear.
Welcome to my word of PAIN and not sleeping well, for the last 20+ yrs. And there is NO CURE. Only masking of symptoms with pain meds. DWEEB docs don’t know much about it or how to treat FMS. Usually a Rheumatologist diagnosis, not all of them are well educated on it besides what was in their text books.
You can add in heat and cold intolerance to the batch of symptoms.
