EXCLUSIVE: DWS IT Guy Was Banned From House After Trying To Hide Secret Server
The Daily Caller ^ | 9-13-17 | Luke Roziak

Posted on 09/13/2017 6:02:08 AM PDT by afraidfortherepublic

A secret server is behind the Capitol Police’s decision to ban a former IT aide to Democratic Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz from the House network.

Now-indicted former congressional IT aide Imran Awan allegedly routed data from numerous House Democrats to a secret server. Police grew suspicious and requested a copy of the server early this year, but they were provided with an elaborate falsified image designed to hide the massive violations. The falsified image is what ultimately triggered their ban from the House network Feb. 2, according to a senior House official with direct knowledge of the investigation.

The secret server was connected to the House Democratic Caucus, an organization chaired by then-Rep. Xavier Becerra. Police informed Becerra that the server was the subject of an investigation and requested a copy of it. Authorities considered the false image they received to be interference in a criminal investigation, the senior official said.

Data was also backed up to Dropbox in huge quantities, the official said. Congressional offices are prohibited from using Dropbox, so an unofficial account was used, meaning Awan could have still had access to the data even though he was banned from the congressional network.

Awan had access to all emails and office computer files of 45 members of Congress who are listed below. Fear among members that Awan could release embarrassing information if they cooperated with prosecutors could explain why the Democrats have refused to acknowledge the cybersecurity breach publicly or criticize the suspects.

So these Democrats admit that they are "blackmailable?"

Even if the Awans didn't actually blackmail them, these Democrats are self-blackmailing themselves by their inaction.

The Democrats sold out the United States of America.

As far back as Bubba Klintoon taking Chinese money for his campaign, AND allowing Loral's Bernard Schwartz to assist China and allowing them to improve their capability of launching intercontinental ballistic missiles.

RATS are evil.

Odd how the liberal butt kissers in the press have so LITTLE interest in this story... What's the connection between this group and the bunch that dealt with Hillary's secret servers?

UPDATE---Americans demand the US DOJ remove Becerra from his California L/E office, pronto.

TALKING POINTS---Then-Cong Becerra in 2004 was one of five House members who first hired Imran Awan (no under arrest). Only two of the five members — NY Democrat Gregory Meeks and California Democrat Xavier Becerra — remained in office through 2016.

The two members later put Awan’s relatives on their payrolls as well, including Imran's wife Alvi, and his brother Abid.

(NOTE Abid is currently being represented by a lawyer specializing in money-laundering litigation. Abid is mentioned on the WH visitor's list---Abid spent 7 hours in the WH).

When Becerra became chairman of the Democratic Caucus in 2013, that office began paying Imran's spouse, Alvi, $25,000 to $30,000 a year in addition to tax dollars ents from Becerra’s personal office. Becerra, to date, is on-record for paying out far more tax dollars to the Awan family than any other Democrat employer.

Imran's secret server was connected to the House Democratic Caucus, an organization chaired by then-Rep. Xavier Becerra . Police informed Becerra that the server was the subject of an investigation and requested a copy of it. Authorities considered the false image they received to be interference in a criminal investigation, the senior official said.

Ex-Cong Becerra is now California's Atty General...... Cali's top L/E officer.

Blackmail is a powerful asset when you need votes for certain bills..... like the Obamacare bill.

I believe this is how they get their entire party to vote in lockstep.

I also believe there is no way they aren’t blackmailing the RINO’s as well......

Fear among members that Awan could release embarrassing information if they cooperated with prosecutors...

More likely fear about knowingly passing intel to known enemy agents and being convicted under the Espionage Act. Democrats are NEVER embarrassed about anything.

So what will happen to this guy?

You know … nothing.

He should be hung for espionage, but he won't be charged with anything.

Well, maybe "unauthorized use of a computer". There will be no jail time, maybe a token fine, deportation to Pakistan where he is already considered a national hero, and where he has transferred 4 million dollars of illicit gains from his tenure with the congress.

But nothing will really happen.

However, a sailor aboard a boomer is locked up for a year for taking a couple of harmless snapshots of his buddies. No justice, no peace.

California’s earlier AG Kamala Harris was certainly willing to abuse the office in this case;

You can’t believe it’s just the dims. The bushes and mccains and all the rinos are in on it, too. It was under the first bush that pakastanis started pouring into this country buying convenient stores, motels and fast food joints.

If it seems slipshod, careless, devil-may-care, incriminating stuff casually
left around....it's b/c they were all operating under that singular assumption.

BACK THEN, Hillary was a shoo-in....having Hillary safely
ensconced in the Oval Office, the treacherous games could continue.
