The awful thing is that if this does prove to be a big miss, then no one is going to evacuate for the next one.

Which is why so many people stayed in NO for Katrina. They’d had 3 or 4 false alarms over the previous 10 years or so. Figured it would just be another false alarm.
Initial call may not matter. What if the trough pulls it up after Cuba weakens Irma ? It could be sitting at Katrina’s build up spot. The point where she ramped up.
Did the eye go into Cuba? I saw it was hugging the shoreline....

man..this is so close to just falling apart....just a few miles bump to the south...cmon...Cuba deserves it.
Consider yourself fortunate that you are not in the cone of doom. Otherwise, the FL Panhandle gets forgotten during elections too—when the TV news folks report polls are closed while y’all are still voting. Welcome to FR and your fourth post.
