Lived on Hilton Head Island for a little while,you guys stay safe.

Some parts of HHI are quite nice.

It’s OK to visit but I couldn’t see living there even if money was no object.

A hurricane hit HH in the 1860s and killed a bunch of people. More folks there now, but we have warning this time.

Some good friends have a loft in Beaufort, ready to head to ATL. I expect I-16 will be 1-way inland at some point.

By the way, the boss I was working for had bought a house near the marsh, not long after Hurricane Hugo (which had hit South Carolina to the north of Beaufort). When asked why he wasn’t concerned about living so near the ocean, he said, “Once in a lifetime, nothing to worry about.” He would be pretty old by now, but may still be alive. That’s Beaufort’s main hope.
