(CNN) President Donald Trump bucked his own party Wednesday and sided with Democrats to support a deal that would ensure passage of disaster relief funding as well as raising the debt ceiling and continuing to fund the government into December.

It’s exactly what Michael Bloomberg did when he ran for mayor of New York City in 2001 as a Republican. It was simply easier for him to win the GOP nomination in NYC than the Democrat nomination. A few years after he was elected he decided he was an “independent,” and I think now he’s a Democrat. To me, he was always just an @sshole.

Rat Boy Ryan and Chicken Little McConnell are 100% useless....

President Trump has to do their job now.

All Ryan and McConnell do is undermine President Trump every step of the way.

Trump sided with the average republican voter over the republican establishment on issues that had been ignored by every other candidate. That's why he destroyed all his opponents. Most republicans stopped supporting the establishment on huge issues like Immigration, trade, and foreign intervention a long time ago.

Except it wasn’t a simple repeal/replace bill. It was anything but that, and that was because you couldn’t do repeal/replace under reconciliation. That’s why full repeal was never on the table. And the replacement was also constrained by reconciliation rules.

If McConnell had dropped the filibuster rule, they’d have been able to satisfy more members, and maybe even a Dem or two, and a bill would have passed, in my opinion.

Trump put a boot on Ryan and McConnells throat today.
Many of us suggested it was way past time for Trump to
get vicious. And he got vicious today. And I love it.

He tried to play nice but it got him no where.
He now has the GOP’s attention.

GOP was able to pass sanctions on Russia very quickly. What else have they accomplished?

AFTER EIGHT YEARS OF PRESIDENT TRUMP, WE WILL HAVE NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT. NOTHING.

Cut back on the caffeine and buck up. Pres. Trump has already given us a great Supreme Court Justice, has eliminated thousands of useless and expensive red-tape regulations, withdrawn us from the Paris Climate Scam, and shown strong leadership to the world. And, best of all, he's not that crook Hillary who would have had us spiraling down into the ground just like that feckless fool Obama.

Will be interesting to see what actually comes out of the House of Reps...I thought the FR consensus last Feb/March during the last “temp. CR” was “it’s OK we’ll get a real budget negotiation/deal come September”...and here we are kicking the can down the road yet again!

There’s just GOT to be a good reason for this. Trump never does anything without an ace up his sleeve!

We’re gonna need a LOT more popcorn!

“I back Trump no matter what.”

This is your problem. We back principles not men. He is holding the line in some respects but weakening in others. Stay strong and true to your beliefs. We have not elected a King.

No, it’s your problem. Conservatives have “followed our principles” since Reagan. THIRTY YEARS. And what have we got to show for it? NOTHING. If POTUS has to do deals with Dems to get the GOP onside then so be it. Sniping at him from the right instead of focusing your fire on the useless Congress only helps Dems. Not that fake conservatives would care about that.
