He may have ICBMs. He may have nuclear bombs that will fit on those ICBs. But I don’t think he is any more ACCURATE as to WHERE it goes than the Scud missiles old Whatzhizface Hussein in Iraq used to fire. All they can do is measure the fuel and fire it in a general direction. Depending where it lands it can destroy stuff and hurt people. But he can’t control it.JMHO.

Guam is an American territory and it’s only economy is from the two American bases.

The tree of liberty is parched, for sure.
It cries out to be watered.

What is motivating him? Why now & why does he seem to be expediting his suicide? Unless he is negotiating behind the scenes

He probably is negotiating behind the scenes... and probably the UN is begging Trump to cave in and ship a few billion dollars over to Kim to appease him (for now).

You’re probably right. But a thermonuclear device needn’t use GPS coordinates.

The Tree of Liberty is not a drought-tolerant plant. You avoid it too long...the roots die.

A single Ohio class sub can make North Korea a smoking hole in under 45 minutes from start to finish.

Depressed Trajectory. From launch to impact will be less than 15 minutes and depending on where the launch occurs could be as short as 5-10 mins.

I hope they can shoot that thing down before it gets to far up in the air.

Interceptions will be done during the post-boost phase so the warhead will have in all probability be past apogee.

Nice reference but I think it’s Xi who has a no-win situation here.
Trump won’t pay China to ‘solve’ the NK problem so Fatboy’s antics just cause China trouble.

They can’t desert their ally and they can’t get any good out of him.

If the Juche-fruit launches first, he and his coterie will be so far below ground when the counter-attack comes, they won’t feel a thing. Then what?

he wants another round of negotiation with major powers involved, including the usa, in which he ends up with a large, long lasting payoff. This is always how it is with them. We see more and more tests etc because we are not sitting down to ‘negotiate’ and giving him money like he wants. He will continue and perhaps escalate until he gets what he wants. Maybe he will sink another South Korean ship or shell one of their islands. It’s unlikely we would respond militarily in a way that threatens his power. He also knows that the countries in the region and the major powers generally prefer to pay him off to avoid instability and financial market disturbances.

Developing/testing the nukes and the icbms is also ensure that he is never removed from power by an outside force. Dictators noticed what happened when Ghaddafi gave up his program. He developed them for a reason and he’s made sure the world knows he has them and a delivery mechanism. We don’t attack nuclear powers. What he’s doing is rational. What hasn’t happened is a payoff yet so we will get to see some more fireworks until one happens or there’s a miscalculation which leads to war.

One smart bomb or cruise missile and alot of problems would be solved.

Baaaaaaad mistake on our part.

I agree, but our government is so corrupted after 8 years of obumber and the uniparty that the military may not respond to Trumps orders until we are directly attached.

Or everyone could just wear hats like his generals, and the world would be a happy place.

Maybe we sink the Main again, or Gulf of Tonkin?

Of course, much more craftily done than those were....

He has to know we have a new sheriff in town & getting what he wants, if he gets it at all, won’t be as easy as it used to be.

Also, if I was China, I would be pretty scared of having somebody as unstable as Kim having nuclear weapons in such close proximity. He could just as easily turn the weapons on China as he is turning them on the US.
