Hard to believe...
Stabbings and shootings are part of the fun of the West Indian Day parade, doncha know? Never heard of one without one or the other, or both.
There’s always some shooting at this parade. I went to it a couple of years ago.
It always happens.

Vibrant & diverse....our masters tell us endlessly how this is our wonderful future.
All part of the rich fabric of life in the big city.
only 2 stabbings ?
unusually quiet parade this year
Kudos to the NYPD.
There were four fatalities in Second City over the weekend.

Never heard of a ‘west indian’ or a parade for them.
This event was in the news last year because before the parade they were plastering rules all over the place...including “Don’t Shoot Anybody”. They’ve also begun referring to it as the “J’ouvert” festival (”Daybreak”) in NYC.
