I don’t have a lot of sympathy for Europe at this point. Fact is, I think I will enjoy watching this all play out over the next decade or so.

The only experiences I have with "breakfast" in the Middle East are with the hotel chain I mentioned (mine being in the outskirts of the city rather than within sight of the Mall of Dubai) and Emirates Airlines...both of which specifically mention that the meals they serve are "halal".
I do know that it's easier for Westerners to get alcohol in Dubai than it is in much of the Arab world and I've read that pork is available as well.It's simply a case of me,in my limited experience,never having seen it.

Yeah, the women were snowflakes for being “offended” by someone eating a bacon sandwich, but I lost sympathy for the guy when it said that he got up and followed them. IMO, that is harassment.

The last few times I've flown I've carried a bag of pork rinds in my carry-on.
The plan is to look around the waiting area. If I see someone I deem suspicious, saunter over, break out the rinds and see if I can gross them out.
If possible sit next to them on the plane just to let them know they might get pork on themselves if they detonate a device.
Yes I'm serious and no, haven't felt I needed to use the plan.
