We have a representative government. We, The People, are not allowed by that government, and our adherence to it, to take violent action except in self defense. Even that is somewhat limited depending on where you live and what your local government is like. We The People must convince our representative government to use the ample tools We The People have given them with out tax dollars. Even the local police are armed with military style weapons. What the local governments have lacked is effective leadership. I see that beginning to change, slowly. Even Democrats are recognizing the inherent danger of allowing Antifa to take over the streets. (The danger they see is entirely to their rule, but nonetheless, they do see danger. That recognition will, eventually, protect all of us.)
