A senior White House correspondent for CNN just experienced an embarrassing on-air interruption.
President Donald Trump and CNN have made no secret of their distaste for each other, and the network has been repeatedly lambasted for its relentless criticism of Trump.
Even in the midst of the destruction wrought by Hurricane Harvey, Trump’s supporters in Texas seem to be on his side.
CNN senior White House correspondent Jeff Zeleny was in the middle of a live report Tuesday from Austin, Texas, in which he was covering Trump’s response to the hurricane.
But as he spoke, people off-camera were heard shouting at him.
“CNN is fake news!” one heckler yelled.
Though others echoed that sentiment, Zeleny kept his composure and continued reporting, claiming Trump is still “learning on the job” when it comes to his response to the natural disaster.
Zeleny wasn’t the only CNN reporter to face backlash that day.
CNN correspondent Nick Valencia tweeted Tuesday about being heckled in Corpus Christi by a crowd “shouting derogatory things.”

But CNN is fake news. Why are they upset? It is honest reporting on the part of the public.
CNN can’t even find its safe space in liberal Austin.

I’ve often said the coastal elites have no clue how much flyover country loathes them. Zeleny got to experience that for once.

“We are just trying to get at the truth,” Acosta said.
Hey Jim, since when have you had any interest in the “Truth”?
It is very “American” to go after liars attempting to shape opinion by distorting the truth.

Airports are public facilities. They’re usually governed by a board, and financed to some degree with public money or bonds. So they’re accountable to taxpayers. Start a petition or campaign that you can take to the governing body and ask that the fake news channel be replaced by something less offensive ... like snuff porn or nonstop Teletubbies reruns.
