The 4% fee is low enough to prevent everybody and their brother from going into the remittance transfer business. Transferring money is so quick and easy now if the government take is too high alternative measures with no government fee will spring up.
Exactly. Unless you’re going to tax all outgoing transfers worldwide, people are going to undercut the price by running the money through third countries.
