You are right. He didn’t say it like the article said. It took a bit of searching but I found the original article. The secondary articles greatly embellished the original story. Having said that, we all know he doesn’t care if illegals vote as long as they vote democrat. It’s just not what he said.

It might not be any more complicated than a critical number of voters don't bother to show up. Even 2%, 3%, 4% could be the margin.
