Prayers for the people of little Rockport, TX, that has been hardest hit with apparently major structural damage to several significant buildings. I hope injuries are minimal and that there was no loss of life.

But, all in all, it sounds as if the overall damage from hurricane winds and storm surge has been mercifully minimal, and this will be primarily a flooding event from very heavy rain. So, it’s far from over, this will be going on for some time as the rivers crest. Sounds a lot like Hurricane Floyd that hit NC.

Houston is bracing for heavy rain bands and flash floods.

Been listening about Rockport......very difficult for rescuers to get around much to speak of ..lines are down everywhere not to mention trees and loads of flooded roads. But this isn’t over yet either....
