Hurricane Harvey has strengthened to a Category 4 storm, as Texas is bracing for impact later Friday evening. The storm, which has maximum sustained winds of 130 mph with even stronger gusts, is expected to be the worst to hit the state in nearly two decades. Residents staying in the area frantically stocked up on food, water and gas, while others heading out of the storm's path boarded up windows and doors of their homes and businesses.

Have they started blaming trump yet?
Have they started blaming trump yet?
Lots and lots of actual coastal homes are built on stilts. It will be interesting to see how these fare.
Natural disasters are dealt with locally. Any help will come after. Or are Texans going to whine like New Yorkers now?
is Trump supposed to stand out in the bay and dare the hurricane to land?
At least President Trump’s acknowledging there is a hurricane to be concerned about, unlike a certain former mayor of New Orleans
twitchy should keep us updated. https://twitchy.com/
Tell me you see it.
Paging Ray Nagan
Caused by GoreBull warming don’tcha know.
Hurricane Katrina was only Category 1 when she crossed southern FL then entered the Gulf of Mexico. Then, it turned north and grew to be a monster storm as is headed to New Orleans. It’s eerily similar.
Part of George W Bush’s and Rove’s hurricane making machine. President Trump must have found it in the White House basement.
Yes. http://www.pennwellblogs.com/tropics_watch/2010-07-06/tropical-disturbance-near-northern-yucatan-a-gulf-threat/
I guess the Houston mayor has been telling people to shelter in place; he didn’t want the highways turned into a parking lot. Either way, it’s gonna be ugly. AND Trump’s fault.
Just about every county in Texas is or already has sent rescue and other services that way. All the military bases are ready to swoop in as soon as they can. We’re taking in refuges as far away as 300 miles and can go farther if need be. All types of contraction people are headed that way with electrical being the most important.
I have faith in the Texans to take care of the damage as well as did Mississippi did after Katrina. New Orleans was a disaster because of the leadership and the people of New Orleans. Katrina hit Mississippi and New Orleans didn’t get the damage from the storm as did Mississippi. The corruption and incompetence of the leaders of New Orleans doomed that city. Mississippians had truckloads of supplies on their way South as soon as the storm cleared.
Didn’t it just hit Cat 3 today?
“Blood! Death! Disaster! Hobgoblins!
The MSM is in 7th heaven. They live for death and destruction.”9
May it be theirs...soon.
Yeah, but he wouldn’t have directed it to Texas.
Katrina was Katrina because the levees broke. Without that disaster, the storm is just a rough hurricane.
