12z GFS is slower to eject harvey

the model is out for the next 7 days its still over central TX

with all the rain falling the “brown ocean effect” may come into play..so much water on the ground

This actually allows tropical systems to maintain themselves over land in upper level conditions are right

No one should evacuate Houston. Local authorities are telling people to shelter in place.

Houston won't get wind ... just a lot of rain. Severe flooding is a given. But where are you going to go to avoid the rain? Austin, San Antonio, and New Orleans are projected to get flooding rains, too.

Hundreds of first responders coming from across the state are arriving at Freeman Coliseum to assist in the storm this weekend....Trump is on this big time!!!

There are 300 cots just at the Freeman Coliseum first responder staging area....Others also being or are already set up in other areas as well....

100 buses staged there...used now to evacuate people
