(CNN) - Donald Trump just showed why even some Republicans question whether he has the temperament and the capacity to serve as President.
In an incredible performance at a raucous Arizona rally Tuesday, Trump rewrote the history of his response to violence in Charlottesville and reignited the culture wars.
Trump in effect identified himself as the main victim of the furor over the violence in Virginia, berating media coverage for a political crisis that refuses to abate over his rhetoric on race.
"They're trying to take away our culture. They're trying to take away our history," Trump said, blaming "weak, weak people" for allowing the removal of statues commemorating the Confederacy.

It’s horrible. The hurt liberal feelings are everywhere, in ghastly piles and just left to bake in the sun.

Fake news media is coming apart at the seams.
I saw the rally and Trump described them for who they are.
CNN fell right into his trap!
CNN snowflakes can’t handle the truth so they lash out at the President.
He got them right where he wants them.
Trump was great. He should do a series of these around the country. Tell Americans what is actually going on because the fake news media won’t.
He said very clearly he denounced Nazis, white supremacists and the KKK.
It was as specific as you could get.
But to hear CNN tell it, he sided with the alt-right and poisoned our racial atmosphere.
These people have a few screws loose.
I had a bit of insomnia last night and briefly took a peek at CNN. Absolutely laughable, the way they were carrying on about Trump and his alleged divisiveness. Switched back to a late night rerun of “Match Game 78”.
CNN is sounding like “Baghdad Bob” more and more.
The Phoenix Convention Center was packed to capacity.
For a guy who is supposedly deeply unpopular, the crowds are still showing up.
The media is panicked... they’ve tried everything they could to stop Trump and nothing is working.
Not Russia and not Charlottesville. Americans don’t care. Period.
That’s why they’re now getting nasty - and losing.
Almost bought it until I noticed where that article came from. Once again the “Communist News Network” has tried to sway our thinking.
God forgive me for how deeply I loathe and detest these deceptive lying evil people.
Presidential tone made North Korea STFU. Now it’s time for the media to follow the example. I know that is new to them.

There were reports over the weekend that the left was snapping up tickets and not going to attend so there would be empty seats. Guess that didn’t work.
George Orwell would be aghast. Josef Goebbels would be jealous. CNN outdoes them all.
Trump learned this one long ago ... issue more tickets than seats ... for every no-show, there’s somebody in line waiting for the seat.
It’s like the airlines but one can enjoy the trip more. :)
It really is an alternative universe for the MSM, and the handful of lemming followers.
I know some of these folks are not idiots.
So if they KNOW that what they are saying is a lie, what does that leave us?
