Recurring prediction in economics:
Were everything distributed equally between the haves and the have-nots, or even transferred entirely from the haves to the have-nots, within a few years (if not months) all that wealth would move right back to pretty much the same demographics as now.
I help the poor. Recurring observation is that most are that way as natural consequence of their own chronic behaviors. Likewise the rich: the wealthy I know are incredibly productive _as_ chronic behavior.
People are their own worst enemies. Not a lot you can do about it.
