Fits right in with the missing digital gear from the Rats in Congress.
Except these had an even bigger con game.
No wonder so many people hate and fear President Trump. They know that their play pens filled with our tax $’s could disappear.

Lintner, who said the investigation originated from whistleblower tips to an inspector general hotline, described the case in detail during a recent governmentwide gathering of hotline officials organized by the Defense Departments inspector general. He did not specify which shipyard was involved, but materials gathered by investigators make clear that the facility in question is Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, Va. Wow. Seven paragraphs in before the writer bothers to say which Shipyard he's talking about.

unsanctioned, off-the-books police force, equipping it with illegally or improperly obtained weapons, vehicles and fuel, wasting an estimated $21 million in public funds in the process. Wow. Where do I sign up for this?

$21 mil over a dozen years to protect the extraordinarily sensitive stuff at norfolk shipyard seems totally fine.

Meh...!
We have a completely fake FBI that doesn’t do its job, so why not also fake cops tooling around for fun on military bases..?
Jesus this is amazing, makes Boz Hoggs seem like a stickler for decorum and procedure.
Good post.

Uhhh... that begs the question, what were they sending and receiving at that location? A private, illegal police force just reeks of smuggling.

Of course none of the ‘top leadership’ noticed. As long as the subordinate commands were attending diversity lectures and seminars, all was well.

Matt-
Look! A real-life STU unit! It's STUville, just like in your first novel! Totally off the books, serious hardware, and wannabe LEOs. Government totally out of control. Talk about Enemies Foreign and Domestic!

Not one mention of any arrests or any consequences for anyone involved.... dare we wonder why?
