In areas where housing is unaffordable, there are better possible solutions. One is a large shed or garage converted into an apartment, maybe with its use being obscured. Another is a job situation like the House of Representatives has where they can live in their place of work.
Housing is getting tough, even for many people have paid off their mortgages. I doubt there are many months when some utility, maintenance cost or tax doesn't increase. Many people aren't far from being priced out of their own houses. There aren't many places to go that are both affordable and provide a positive environment.
"Barndominiums" became popular in my part of flyover and the county quickly moved to make living in a pole barn illegal. Of course this occurred I finished 6oo sq. ft. in mine.
How an why is this happening?
Many sections of the US are now unaffordable for working class people. Why are housing costs exploding?
Actually there are plenty of affordable places with a good environment. Look at the electoral map of red counties. Most of these counties offer cheaper living and a better way of life than any county marked in blue.
This woman should use the Ford for what it was designed for: driving away from the blue cesspool.
Why don't people realize that there is opportunity everywhere in the USA!
I’d suggest an urban RV park. Let them park a small camper. Provide RV hookups. Have a building for bathrooms/showers/laundry/gym. Have a campground pool/hot tub and a nice patio to grill and have drinks.
They pay an association fee but don’t have to clean the common areas. Might even convince me to stay awhile.
