Before people believe reports of utter horror in Venezuela and how life can’t live there, check their population growth.
Truth be known, just about all of this is Rosneft and Goldman Sachs have funded a refinery in Venezuela that will process their Orinoco heavy oil. This means they won’t need Gulf of Mexico refineries anymore, who will lose that business.
THAT is what all the propaganda is about.
Given the oil (and gas) coming from shale fracking, the Gulf Coast refineries no longer need the Orinoco crude. They will have all the business they can handle. The USA is severely under-built for refineries, and has been for years.
