Grant had no regard life and used troops like a meat grinder. I see Grant differently. He correctly saw life in camp as dangerous to his troops. As I understand his view, it was that getting the battles over quickly would cost fewer lives than more months and years in camp. There is an element of truth in that, whether or not his men appreciated his aggressiveness.

Re: McClelland’s Risk.
That was the situation before Lee’s general orders fell into his lap. Once they did Mac knew that Lee’s army was separated on the march and could be defeated in detail. Lee, on detecting McClelland’s approach had to hastily concentrate on the Antiedam Creek position and even then had to await the Light Division (AP Hill) arrival from Harper’s Ferry.

Since whites are oppressive and evil, it follows that all whites should be rounded up and concentrated in designated camps for their safety and the good of the nation.

I dont believe that statues and monuments meant to glorify the Confederate cause and Confederate leadership belong on federal land, and they should be taken down unless they serve the clear purpose of educating people about American history and are placed by historians in the proper context for that purpose, Delaney said in a statement to Herald-Mail Media. So they should stay then?
Make up your mind.

The way things are going, Civil War Battlefields will end up being places where the Union Army showed up for Live Fire Exercises.
Have they Outlawed Civil War Reenactments yet?

The libs war against statues requires stealth cowardice.
They sneak up on a otherwise inanimate object, in the middle of the night, and trash it.
