I have said many times over the years, we went in to retaliate for 9/11. We eviscerated them in 90 days. At that point we should have packed up our gear and left. We do NOT belong in the business of "nation building"
I am not an expert in geopolitics, but I know that the Soviet Union spent a long time there and finally left--after only about half of the time we have been there.
I think this may be a tough sell for the President. I think people are fed up with losing their sons and daughters as, nearly, cannon fodder, although they have done a lot of good things. But can these people change?
So much precious American blood has been spilled.

I hope there is some specific plan; he did so well with that initial attack in Syria; I'm sure he has one, but won't talk about it. That's why this likely not be very popular.
