Driving these folks underground is a bad idea—next will come bombings and assassinations. We did this surpressing the left and it lead to the formation of the Weathermen. Best to keep these folks out there they can be seen—we need no new invisible empire of racism.

There are two issues here. One is the government shutting down the 1st amendment for people they don't like. That can done on the ground or on the web or both. The second is the arbitrary corporate power to shut down a site that the CEO of Cloudflare describes above.

So there are attacks from at least two directions, the government and the corporations. That doesn't even count the deep state or the online antifa.

I made some half-baked proposals in a thread about the DOS attacks about using a cloud service. BUt I had not thought about all the other attacks, like the one above. I retracted my proposal in that thread. I retract it again here.
