One of my hobbies is wargaming. Games publishers have some horror stories about their products being destroyed by the Germans if they have any swastikas or SS runes on them, even a little tiny one on a ship or airplane marker.
Some, if they want to ship to Germany, have ahistorically used the German cross instead.
This is not silly though. The motivation is sinister and it’s designed to erase us, eventually.
