Marcus Lemonis: If you’re OK with what Trump said, don’t shop at my business (Camping World CEO)
CNBC ^ | August 16, 2017 | Michelle Fox

Posted on 08/18/2017 7:11:56 AM PDT by lowbridge

Serial entrepreneur Marcus Lemonis had some choice words on Wednesday about those who may support President Donald Trump's response to the violent white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.

"There's no doubt that there is probably not many consumers in this country today that are in favor of what has been said in the last couple days and if they are, quite frankly, don't shop at my business," said Lemonis, who is CEO ofCamping World and host of CNBC's "The Profit."

In a chaotic Tuesday news conference, Trump appeared to equate torch-bearing white nationalists with the protesters who demonstrated against them.

Everyone who loves the noble traditions of liberty loving Americans--of which there is no finer example than Robert E. Lee--should show Mr. Lemonis at least the respect to honor his wishes. Never having been his customer, I am unable to gratify his wish in the most effective way. But I will surely respect it in the future.

There is little else about him that I can respect. He may be a competent merchant; on the social history of America, he has no credibility whatsoever.

Camping World is exceedingly expensive. There are better, less costly RV shops....

“..... don’t shop at my business,” ........

You have absolutely NO FEAR, I will never cross your threshold again. (Besides, your stuff is way over priced)

16 Aug: The Hill: The media couldn’t be more blatant in distorting Trump’s words on Charlottesville
By John Lott, Jr
Has the media ever so deliberately and consistently misinterpreted what a president said?…
Does anyone even listen to comments anymore before commenting on them?
When it comes to the president, do politicians just take reporters at their word?

But Trump never said that the white supremacists and neo-Nazis were “very fine people.” He said that there two different types of people protesting the taking down of the Robert E. Lee statue – the racists (“some very bad people in that group”), and people who thought that for the sake of history it was important not to take down the statue.

Here is Trump’s own explanation from his press conference.
Trump: “And you had people, and I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists, because they should be condemned totally. But you had many people in that group other than neo-Nazis and white nationalists.
“OK? And the press has treated them absolutely unfairly.”

Reporter: “You were saying the press has treated white nationalists unfairly? (inaudible) understand what you’re saying.”
Trump: “No, no. There were people in that rally, and I looked the night before. If you look, they were people protesting very quietly the taking down of the statue of Robert E. Lee. I’m sure in that group there were some bad ones. The following day, it looked like they had some rough, bad people – neo-Nazis, white nationalists, whatever you want to call them.

“But you had a lot of people in that group that were there to innocently protest and very legally protest, because you know – I don’t know if you know, they had a permit. The other group didn’t have a permit.”
President Trump made it very clear that his comment did not pertain to “neo-Nazis and the white nationalists.” When a reporter misinterpreted his very clear statement, Trump again made it clear that the bad people were the “neo-Nazis, white nationalists.”

How much clearer could the president be?...

The press continually misreports Trump’s statements ETC

No problem dude! We’ll make sure the Camping World NASCAR Truck series folks hear about this as well. But then again, Bill France wondered if he would regret sending his kids to IV League Schools. Brian answered that one.

Marcus you have the saying reversed: It’s not personal it’s business:

Too bad I did like the Profit as a an indicator what not to do in a small business which being part of a small business, is informative.

Going forward: Marcus Who? What is this show called the Profit?, and Camping World? does not exist. Payback is a HilLIARita....

So, no need to shop for an RV at CW. That will save me time.

I quit shopping at that overpriced dump a long time ago. Better products and less expensive at Walmart.

I needed some work done on my travel trailer and checked the reviews. Worse than any other vendor in the Phoenix area.

These self-righteous smucks are going to learn the hard way that bashing the Prez will not be good for business.

Call made. Poor girl seemed stressed. I spend around $1,000 a year at Camper World supporting our Class C.

Not anymore.

Never quite understood the reasoning behind the owner/CEO/whatever of a business telling folks NOT to patronize that business. It’s really kinda dopey.

I have had nothing but bad experiences at Camping World. The service department is unorganized and the retail prices are too high. I wasn’t planning on ever going back anyway.

Trump said, "There was violence on both sides."

Camping World CEO Marcus Lemonis says, "If you agree with that, don't shop at my store."

Ok Marcus.
