If we start a new party, we are finished. The GOP will happily remain, a contented do-nothing minority party, happily enriching themselves at our expense. There are many many people who would never leave the Republican party for your new party, and your new party will disappear into the dustbin of history, and the democrats will rule the roost forever, or until our nation collapses. We don’t need a new party, we just need to reform the GOP from the grass roots level up, and we have never before really had the means to do this, the way we have now. Leaving the party is not wise. The answer is to get involved in the party as much as you possibly can, and to try to educate people who don’t really understand what is happening to this nation.

That strategy has been tried for 30 yrs. and the result-—nothing. They are still the cheese eating surrender monkeys of political parties.

They are in cahoots with the Democrats and are treated like dirt when the Democrats are in control and they thank the Dems for beating and berating them daily. When they luck up and actually win control of some government entity they run around like the crazy uncle who uses speed and doesn’t know he is in this world all the while asking the Democrats, tell us what to do, we are stupid and scared.

The Republican Party stands for nothing and they fall for everything the Democrats trot out. How do you save a party that by it’s own admission is stupid and cowardly? Why would you even try?

In the mid-terms the pu$$y GOP will retain the house but lose a ton of seats. They will either pick up a couple of seats in the senate or barely lose the senate when they could pick up 10-12 seats if they behaved like a real political party. In mid-terms your base makes or breaks you and right now the Republican base has no reason to lift a finger for the GOP.
