The congressional calendar is jammed. There are serious doubts that there's room for all the legislation that's lined up waiting for a vote.
... There are just 12 days before the end of September, when the House and Senate are in session together. In those 12 days, Congress has to pass a budget and a debt ceiling extension. That's surely very difficult.
Now throw in the Republican Party walking away from the Republican president. That is what's happening. And the chances of getting a budget, debt ceiling, health care, tax cuts and infrastructure done this year are surely slim and none.

The Republican party was never with Trump. Some of them timidly pretended to support him when it served their purpose, but now they think the good old Uniparty is regaining the momentum so they’re falling back to their usual patterns.
There are 12 days when the Congress will be in session between now and September 30, the end of the fiscal year.
Like Ann Coulter said the PEOPLE are with Trump, the PEOPLE are NOT budging he says OUT LOUD what we ALL feel!! GOPe be damned there numbers are lower than dog dung, they all ss scream about how low Trump numbers are, THEY ALL need to look at their own numbers SCUM ALL OF THEM!!!!

Interesting idea, but there have to be bills put on his desk in order for him to consider this approach.
So far, the do-nothings in Congress don't seem capable of authoring any legislation. And, given their track record thus far, it's probably a good thing they can't get anything done.

What does that Reality Show of a party even stand for? What do Roy Moore and Kid Rock possibly have in common legislatively?
That’s a fantastic party to “make liberal heads explode.” But the entire purpose of a party is - supposedly - to enact legislation.
Granted, the Republicans can’t do that now, but I don’t see how getting ten “outsiders” with wildly different philosophies fixes that underlying problem.
Then most of the 63 million people that voted for Trump will walk away from the Republican Party. Hell, that’s why we voted for him in the first place - because you dead elephants couldn’t (or simply didn’t WANT to) do a damned thing about the Leftist-generated slide of this country.

There is no issue. They have zero regard for the base and the President. They are money grabbing Globalist Scum as much as any Democrat.
Go 3rd Party, or go Independent?
What would be the name or general philosophy?
The temptation is to say a third party would be wrapped around the basic views of President Trump. While I understand and agree with most of that, such basis for a party is not enough to sustain it. There is only one Donald Trump.
It’s very unlikely that another conservative who thinks, speaks and acts as The Donald does will be found within our lifetimes. He is one in a million. It’s like a Johann Sebastian Bach or even a Frank Zappa, a powerful presence. A personality type that only occurs so many times in a century.
If Mr. Trump can get a few good men and women to articulate his ideas in different forums, this would be a good start.
Ted Cruz, Rand Paul ,Laura Ingraham to a lesser degree, KellyAnne Conway.
Trump needs to lead Republican voters in a revolt to seize control of the party and expel the quislings. A 3rd party ticket will just leave the rats in charge of the congressional races. Trump needs to spend the next 12 months rallying his supporters to primary the leading GOP traitors in both the Senate and House.
I should know more about this than I do.
1. Does the debt ceiling increase need to be passed before the budget? Because that debate is bound to be a complete and total disaster.
2. I know the President proposed a budget back in May - though I think it was more of an outline - and that seemed to be summarily ignored by everyone. Is there a House budget to even be voted on? I don’t know where they are in that process. I can’t imagine they are going to be replaying healthcare and having votes on bills that are 10 minutes old.
At some point I look for Trump to turn his full rhetoric on the Vichy Republicans. Probably after re-election in 2020. Depending on their behavior the next two years this might come much sooner.
The Republicans are on an LSD trip if they think their support of Antifa/BLM/Democrats are going to bring the base out to support them in 2018 and 2020.
Ted Cruz is an orthodox Conservative. Rand Paul is a Libertarian. I think both have deep seated personal animosity towards Trump that they are suppressing for their own electoral needs at the moment.
What does a party of them and President Trump look like.
Does Rand back a $1 Trillion infrastructure project? Does Cruz agree with the president on trade?
I feel like the three of them are three corners on a triangle. Starting a party with them would lead to, well, the current Republican coalition.
I’m pretty sure he meant twelve legislative working days.
