Pelosi wants Confederate statues out of Capitol

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Thursday joined the growing chorus of Democrats calling for the removal of Confederate statues from the Capitol.
Calling the monuments a “reprehensible” symbol of a racist era, Pelosi urged Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and other GOP leaders to support an effort to purge the statues from the building.
“There is no room for celebrating the violent bigotry of the men of the Confederacy in the hallowed halls of the United States Capitol or in places of honor across the country,” Pelosi said in a statement.

This has to be stopped! This has nothing to do with monuments and they know it. It will not end as long as we watch them strip this country to the bone. The end game is to end the Republic as we know it and rewrite a constitution. Does that sound implausible? Look at the Constitution now? Do you recognize it as it is being applied to America? The biggest threat to America ever was not the Nazis,Japs,Reds or even Islam, it is the Left. I shudder to think what America would be like under Clinton. I shudder to think what America will be like if we squander our current opportunity of MAGA and the Left regains power. CWII is here if we admit it or not.

Well, there's one, that ends with at least minimal violence, and that's a Pinochet solution.
To stop them requires suspending Congress and terminating 250-500 Leftists.

Or better still, I’d be in favor of making a statue of her cast in cement....she doesn’t even have to be declared dead first.
Is this ALL the Democrats have to offer? What will they want after they have removed all the statues? What is next?
Should they not be working on the budget, taxes, health care, the economy, jobs, defense, immigration, hate groups?

Well by that logic, then we should also remove all monuments and statues of FDR because of racism against Japanese Americans when he ordered the blatantly unconstitutional interment of Japanese Americans during World War II. Any symbols of the Supreme Court that made brazenly unconstitutional decisions allowing that internment must also be removed form Washington D.C. There was no justification ever for rounding up our Japanese citizens and shipping them off to prison camps in remote locations. There was no significant evidence that Japanese citizens were doing anything to disrupt our war effort against Japan.
So FDR was clearly a bigot and racist against Japanese Americans, and by Pelosi’s logic then all statues of FDR have to go from the Capitol area and the FDR monument also must be torn down and removed from Washington DC. As my mother said once when talking about the 1940s and 1950s, “everybody was much more bigoted back then...and bigotry was acceptable in society.” What this shows is that times have changed and our society has advanced greatly since then. It’s a bad precedent to start removing historical monuments from our country, but if Pelosi insists then all monuments and statues of FDR must also be removed from Washington D.C.
I would like Pelosi out of the Capitol. I think we will both be disappointed.
I'll bet POTUS did. The left is jumping the shark, and all we have to do is watch them melt down and let this come to it's illogical conclusion, which is the removal of the Washington Monument (gonna take a big cable for Antifa to pull that one down) and Jefferson memorial. That will really get the majority of the electorate on the dem's side, oh yeah it'll work out great for them.
You know what, from now on, I'm just assuming everything is part of POTUS' strategery. I could never offer him any advice. He just seems to know how to set things up so that the left (and worthless losers like Lindsey Graham, et al) destroys itself. And if that happens, he'll be worthy of Mount Rushmore in my view.

Of course, once the Democrats finish saying "homina, homina, homina" in response, they'll talk about "the Switch" -- where all the Republicans and all the Democrats supposedly "switched" positions.
Apart from that being a dishonest and easily (and frequently) rebutted argument -- even if we were grant that it is true (which it isn't) -- the comeback is: "So because the Democrats stopped supporting all of those racist horrors, we're supposed to honor them now? But we're supposed to trash America's founders and founding principles, even though America did abolish slavery (with NO help from the Demcrats)?
I don't think so. Time to demand that the Democrat Party be abolished, and its "assets" (not that it has any) liquidated to pay reparations.
The genius of the statue debate is that it lays bare who is American and who is unamerican.
