I suspect part of the attraction is control. The older woman holds ALL the cards, and there is very little competition. She has a house, car, money. No high school girl can compete. And the boys are disposable, by picking attractive young men, she can be sure that when she dumps him, some teeny-bobber will be there to take him off her hands.
