Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton said he is "disappointed" that President Donald Trump plans to hold a campaign rally in Arizona during the national turmoil following the events in Charlottesville over the weekend.
Trump is planning a campaign-style rally in Arizona next week, amid an uproar sparked by his ambivalent response to white supremacists and the death of an anti-racist protester in the Charlottesville violence.
The President host supporters in Phoenix next Tuesday, one week after he reiterated his claim that anti-racist protesters were as violent as Ku Klux Klan and neo-Nazi protesters in Charlottesville and that the "alt-right" groups included some "very fine" people.

The Mayor of the city which can best be described as Plan B, i.e. why else would anyone want to live in the middle of the effing desert, is the real disappointment.

This means leftists are planning to be violent. They have the people in place, they have the lines of attack, they’ve gathered the weapons, and they probably have tickets.
I get the feeling Greg Stanton would prefer that the President spend his time wallowing in some sort of guilt, and sit in a circle of people holding hands and singing Kumbaya, instead.
Doubt I will be able to make it as I'm coming off a stint implant and am still wearing a defibrillator. Not really up for massive lines in the August heat. (January/February is actually rally season here.) For those who do plan to attend and to greet antifa, just remember concealed means concealed - until it doesn't.
