There is a new push to change the name of a Boston landmark due to its ties to slavery.
At a press conference with Boston religious leaders Wednesday, Kevin Peterson, of the New Democracy Coalition, said Faneuil Hall should be renamed.
Peterson said Peter Faneuil shouldnt be memorialized on one of Bostons historic sites because he was a slave owner and trader. Faneuil was a wealthy man who donated the building to the city of Boston right before his death in 1743.
The building took two years to construct and was named for Faneuil after his death.
Peterson suggested the building should be renamed after Crispus Attucks, who was killed in the Boston Massacre and is widely considered the first American killed in the American Revolution.
Petersons comments came after religious leaders and Boston Mayor Marty Walsh held a prayer service for peace after white nationalists and counterprotesters clashed in Charlottesville,Virginia over the weekend.
A young woman, Heather Heyer, was killed and a dozen more were injured when a car plowed through a crowd of counterprotesters.
Because he was black...
Rich Lowry, call your office!
(For those who didn’t see it check out his idiot column on giving in to these loons on NRO)
“Peterson suggested the building should be renamed after Crispus Attucks, who was killed in the Boston Massacre and is widely considered the first American killed in the American Revolution.”
Can’t we just compromise. Call the top floor of the building
Attucks’ Attic and be done with it.
Fine logic, bleephead. There are a lot more conservative thinking people here that elections or social behavior would indicate.
Dolt.
Well if he donated it the City has to give it back. They must find his descendants and give it to them. Renaming it is not enough, they must rid themselves of that evil building and the land it stands on. Otherwise they are....wait for it......RACISTS
The socialists in Massachussets should go for something that speaks to their leftist political views.
I like the ring of “Mao Tse-tung Mall”.
Or “Grey Beaver Boulevard”.
Another white [racist to be redundant], we presume.
The dumb, guilt-ridden whites who support radical Islamists and racist-white-hating blacks are going to end up slaves themselves after they help the libtards, muslims and radical blacks destroy the nation.
Those militant feminists are going to look good in their new black sackcloth burkas.
And the male snowflakes won’t need a safe space after they lose their heads over Islam.
Because HE WAS BLACK.
For these damnable black racial bigots, that's all that matters.
Here's their plan:
1) Erase all monuments, memorials, and references to white people.
2) Kill whitey.
3) Live in a sun-people paradise.
They have declared war on the rest of us.
I’m trying to make sense of this article. So did some Faniuel guy drive his car over some slaves who lived in his building a long time ago? Is that what’s got them all stirred up?
Another jackass.
In fact--blow up Boston! It was a slave colony until after the Revolutionary War!
So was New York!
And Connecticut!
And New Jersey!
Blow up California! They had a bounty on Indian heads until the 1880s!
Blow up Oregon! People of African descent couldn't live there!
Blow up England! They had slaves! And serfs!
Blow up France! They did too!
Blow up Germany! They were Nazis!
Blow up Russia! They had serfs!
Blow up China! They did too!
Blow up Australia! Look what they did to the aborigines!
And New Zealand! The Maoris!
Blow up Africa! And the Middle East! They STILL have slaves!
Just blow up EVERYTHING!
There. Don't you feel cleansed?
Well it’s already known as Quincy MAAAAAAAHHHKET
The market is a large complex,Faneuil Hall is ONE building.
.
Thanks for the clahhhhrification Meeaahhhs.
We need to help fund the Calexit movement and make all these commies move out. Only then can we restore some sort of normalcy again in America.
Boston is more racist than Mobile.
