Have some compassion there, Mr. Normal. Those white boys are just victims of their oppressors.

I can’t imagine the NC legislature making this change.

The Left is bound to over-reach here, because that is what the Left does. But, these really could not be going better for someone who wants the monuments gone.

If your only visible opponent is a an actual Nazi, you are going to win the PR battle. You are also going to be seen as justified in nearly any action when your opponent is a Nazi.

“I had to knock down the statue....or the Nazis would have come here.”

PS

Am I the only one who keeps thinking about the Jebidiah Springfield episodes of The Simpsons?

Ain't that the truth. Look at the makeover Antifa has received. They went from being an albatross around the necks of the left, thugs who protest a conservative speaker on campus by torching a starbucks and overturning cars, to being given the moral equivalence of the soldiers who stormed the beaches of Normandy.

Trump didn’t help matters at all with his “many sides” comments in the sense that he didn’t name Antifa or even explain who they were or connected them to Berkeley.

Frankly, I think it’s because he doesn’t know who they are, because he never digs that deeply into any issues, but that’s a story for another day.

He cited many sides being wrong, while I guess sorta naming the Neo Nazis.

And everybody’s response was, “How can two sides be at fault when one is filled with freaking Nazis?!?!”

And Antifa gets to say, “We’re the side that fights Nazis in the streets.”

And now they are the spiritual brothers of the men who stormed the beach at Normandy.

President Trump and his die-hard supporters think every battle on every hill must be fought and won. But this one is over. I honestly don’t know how you pivot away from “the Nazi press conference,” but he needs to find a way to do it.

Yep. The left has the momentum on this and they don't waste time. They'll strike while the iron is hot. Every Confederate memorial in a public space will be gone by Columbus day, --if not sooner.

I honestly don’t know how you pivot away from “the Nazi press conference,” but he needs to find a way to do it.

I'll tell you what pisses me off the most is that the most important news item of the past week was the total collapse of the Russian collusion narrative when The Nation questioned if it was not a hack but a leak. Salon piggybacked on this yesterday. It's over. People on the Left are starting to add two and two and aren't liking the answers.

And then like clockwork, along comes Richard Spencer, David Duke, their stupid Nazi shields, banners and slogans. And someone gets killed. The timing couldn't have been more perfect.

I laughed at the conspiracy nuts who said they were Soros patsies. Now I'm honestly not so sure.

The Russian narrative will never die as long as Mueller is working. All it takes is one indictment (and he didn’t hire every high level prosecutor in America to NOT indict someone), and the narrative is set. Granted, there was a chance to start to at least confuse public perception here, but that’s gone.

Here’s one to add to the “It’s a conspiracy” file, because this is just too perfect. The Daily Stormer - which ran a hideous article on the women who died - got kicked off GoDaddy and was refused by Google.

It’s now on a Russian site.

I’ve been aware of Spencer and his goons for too long to think they are actually really elaborate double agents, because, frankly, I’m shocked that Spencer has not been shot yet. He’s playing an extremely dangerous game.

But, if it was a conspiracy, it’s absolutely perfect down to that final Russian exclamation point.

Trump’s 71 years old, and he ain’t changing.

But I think he’s missed one key fact in his transition to the White House. He is amazing at getting attention for himself. It’s why he’s famous in the first place, because he’s never really been as a big a developer as he pretends. He’s probably not in the Top Ten in NYC over the last 40 years in terms of scope, but he’s more famous than the rest combined.

And his ability to get attention won him the nomination, because he completely sucked all the air of everyone else’s campaign. He got his freaking rallies shown on multiple networks daily.

What he does not seem to grasp is that when you are the president, you don’t need to grab the spotlight. It’s always there, 24/7. If anything, by grabbing for it, you start to exhaust people.

He should have given his Monday statement, and then just vanished for a few days. Let, I dunno, a cabinet secretary talk about infrastructure.

I feel like we are in this endless feedback loop where all we are hearing is “Trump is right!!” or “Trump is wrong!”

What is that accomplishing?

Pack them with black powder from toe to crown, and let them blow up when they are pulled down.

Hey, instant poetry.

Cooper came in office because of transgender bathroom deal.

1. NCAA, NBA, all the sports organizations were boycotting NC regarding tournaments and all related events.

2.Some businesses were boycotting the state.

They ran a scare campaign and too many people bought into it. Actually business in NC remained good. The sports thing was big.

“Banks should also put their money out on the sidewalk so no one gets hurt robbing them.”

That highlights the issue perfectly.

This puts many people in the odd position of defending Confederate statues only because the people demanding we take them down are so loathsome. And the people showing up with nazi banners to defend them by force are also loathsome!

This is where you are fundamentally mistaken. Your projections line up perfectly with what the Left is trying to inculcate into the Right to weaken it.

What Southern Heritage do you and those in your neighborhood enclave have to celebrate? Or are you all transplants?

It IS about heritage, AMERICAN heritage and culture. Make no mistake. This is a "divide and conquer" strategy being played out before your eyes.

Southerners are quite aware the left is trying to systematically erase the culture, and destroying statues along with vandalizing those who fly a Confederate flag are part and parcel of their efforts. That a handful of powerless social outcasts show up to be seen with the truly aggrieved is NOT sufficient cause to dismiss those truly aggrieved. They are the stalking horse the left uses to demean those who object to the left's goal.

And you're playing right into them.
