I’ll bet no more than 50 Americans even knew there was a plaque honoring Robert E. Lee in Brooklyn until this story about its removal was posted. LOL.

Born and raised there, I knew he had something to do with the Forts around Brooklyn and Queens, but never knew of any plaque. Never cared one way or the other. Most folks who came here after the 1800’s couldn’t care less, they were here to make lives for themselves and not get stuck on past history. Maybe those who are doing all the violence should learn a lesson, but they won’t. Will Egypt destroy the Pharaoh’s tombs? Will Muslims destroy Mecca because they believed in slavery? “Stupid is what stupid does”. (Now there is a counter demo sign!)
