....Something big has happened today. We actually left the court right afterwards. The judge (US District Judge Gloria Navarro) refused to listen to the defense motion that they wanted. She said 'file it' and walked off the bench.
The jurors are in deliberation, extremely early. Earlier than we thought. And we need a prayer.....Outside the courtroom in the hallway we all knelt around and prayed. There's something big happening here.
Andrea Parker at 1:15) The government finished their closing argument. When the judge asked the defendants if they, if they were ready to give their closing arguments.
One by one they stood up and said: 'Steven Stewart will not have a closing argument' 'Eric Parker will not have a closing argument' 'O. Scott Drexler will not have a closing argument' and "Ricky Lovelien is not going to have a closing argument'.
I believe that they are taking this stand because they were not afforded a defense......

The defense attorneys all waived their closing arguments after proceedings that included the judge banning all defense witnesses from testifying before the jury.
She even removed defendant Eric Parker from the stand as he tried to testify in his own defense under judicial orders that gagged him from using the First or Second Amendment as a defense.
Eric Parker was even banned from telling the jury how he felt during the Bunkerville Standoff on April 12, 2014 near Bundy Ranch.
Activist Gavin Seim described Judge Navarro as 'psychotic' among other things in a video tonight.
Her actions were in accordance with the demands of a prosecution led by Acting US Attorney Steven Myhre who was praised by Attorney General Jeff Sessions for his "leadership" in the case last month.
Guilty.
Sessions praised the guy. The deep state includes Sessions. And I don’t trust Pence either.
I think that Sessions is simply a pussy/coward who caves to the wishes of the pre-positioned Leftists in the DOJ Deep State!
If you’ve followed the whole trial, the jury has to be in a stunned and confused state.
They asked many questions of the prosecutors (jury questions allowed here) as they made their case and saw the judge side with the prosecutors to defense objections.
Then they saw her always side with the prosecution’s objections to the defense.
They saw the judge stop the defendant Eric Parker from testifying in his own defense after repeated objections to his testimony from the lead prosecutor Steven Myrhe.
They saw all four defendants today stand up and say they will have no closing arguments. That just doesn’t happen every day in trials.
Your honor. Because we were prevented from hearing the other side of the case we are not rendering a verdict.
Case closed.
He learned alot as a Senator.
Judge seems to have a lot of animus.
Guilty. They admitted to the charges. Seems their whole argument belongs in sentencing discussion. Sorry, take up arms to support thieves, point those guns at law enforcement officials, you belong in jail—ah, which is where they are at. Excuses might help in sentencing. One of the poacher Hammond supporters got what 68 years? Maybe these guys get something less if they want to show some recognition that what they did was wrong?

Sessions is a greater disappointment than Souter.
Nice to be an Antifa I suppose...
You gotta be a big fan of Sessions I’m bettin’.
Hey a-hole, did you lose your way to The Oregonian?
People taking up arms against the U.S. government, supporting poachers and thieves in this case, calling for insurrection, pointing guns at law enforcement should feel lucky that discipline and patience kept them alive. It may be people you agree with here, but this is no different than Antifa, Black Lives Matter, Black Panthers, KKK, neo-Nazis, and others. Take up arms against the US, cause or threaten armed violence, you should, if you live, go to jail a very long time. Zero tolerance, without playing favorites.
My suggestion, send them postcards while they are in prison so they know they have not been forgotten. Feel sorry for their kids, if any. Too bad for them.
Take it up with the gov’t non response to BLM and Antifa.
Yes, that non-response is a problem. Sessions has been rather ineffective. Both the DOJ and FBI should be more active in these protests since the states and local communities have stood down.
Jury members likely will go and either be split (meaning no real outcome and another trial), or just go vote for not-guilty. The judge appears to be unqualified for the position/role required. Maybe way beyond her capability.
How many other sock puppets are you wearing on this site “red reno?” Are you getting paid by the post or by the word?
No, I find poachers and thieves to be bad people, I take offense at people taking up arms against the US, disrespecting the US, denying its authority, etc. Me, when asked originally, I wondered why the whole of them were not simply shot. They were armed, may threats, had guns pointed at law enforcement. Now we are stuck paying millions to convict and jail them. Oh well.
