If feminists truly wanted to compete on an even playing field with men, Science and Technology is the place to do it. It's completely blind to all politics.
For instance, I drove over or under a couple of dozen bridges on my way to work today. I've no idea who designed them, what they looked like, their politics, gender, or sexual orientation, and could care less. All I know is that they're probably pretty well engineered because not a one collapsed on me, and frankly, that's my #1 design concern in the bridges that I use.
