Belonging to a Neo-Nazi group, the KKK, Antifa or BLM, AND being mentally ill aren't mutually exclusive. (I could argue that they are entirely consistent.)

I'm not likely to serve on the jury, so I can say that so far I've seen ample evidence to believe that Fields is guilty of homicide (a crime), has Nazi sympathies (not a crime), is stupid (not a crime) schozophrenic (not a crime), and was deemed unfit to serve in the United States Army (not a crime).

Are you aware that event, Jason Kessler, the organizer of the rally in Charlottesville is a former Occupy Wall Street activist and supporter of Barack Obama.
