Thanks for the picture of Michael Douglas in the movie “Falling Down”. That movie is even more relevant today than it was when it was released nearly 25 years ago in 1993.

In many ways, Falling Down is about the cognitive dissonance of an American man, raised in 1950s America, facing alone the savagery borne of the early 1990s recession, the hollowing out of America's manufacturing base compounded by massive illegal and legal immigration courtesy of the corrupt political class, all set at that time's ground zero: the gang-ravaged, foreigner-flooded, loony-tunes, at-one-another’s-throat Los Angeles.

While proponents of 1950s American values had been given a “second chance” in the form of the Reagan 1980s, the combination of rampant immigration, recession, economic dislocation caused by the transition to a “service economy”, and the resultant societal upheavals that defined the early 1990s, stalled the return of mid-century Americanism started by President Reagan.

In another era, the main character D-Fens (Michael Douglas) would have been the ideal American: A hard-working husband and father with unwavering loyalty to his job, country, and beliefs. (Amidst the climate of anti-government sentiment that defines patriotic Americans today, it may be hard for younger Freepers, Lurkers, and trolls to believe that in post-World War II America, loyalty to the government was synonymous with patriotism. Today we are ruled by the most brazen thieves so loyalty to country and the Republic under the Constitution has replaced it). The betrayed “promise” of America in which D-Fens trusted, which was the standard expectation and experience of several generations of American men before him, led to a majority of his generation, American men of all colors, to believe that working hard and doing the right thing was all that was necessary for a lifetime of financial security and prosperity.

What was true in the early 90s is even more so today. Now Americans who believe in the American Dream and naturally expect that their “government of the people, by the people, for the people” would look to protect their freedoms and welfare first, are despised by the elite and attacked mercilessly. Patriotic Americans are derided by various names depending on their ethnicity by terms such as Nazi, Deplorable, Uncle Tom, Oreos, white nationalist, race-traitor, sellout, banana, coconut, etc.

Large multinationals, controlled by the stateless, obscene rich ruthlessly oppress and discriminate against Americans who don't kowtow to the totalitarian leftist ideology that is forcing all Americans into abject slavery. The global elite is working hard to steal our wealth and freedoms by obliterating our family structure, culture, religion, sense of shared identity, and degrading the rule of law all in an effort to disposes all Americans from the wealth of our nation that was bequeathed to us by our ancestors.

The practice of this evil is not limited to America, it is happening all over Europe, South America, Africa, and Asia as the entire planet is besieged by war, mass migration, invasion, colonization, and the devaluation of the concept of family, community, religion, culture, and citizenship. All of this evil is for the benefit of a newly emerged cabal of global elites who comprise a seperate culture and identity that was born out of the jet age, modern instant communication, and vast wealth.

This transnational elite owns the same investments, have multiple homes in New York, Cannes, California, Geneva, Aspen, London, Rome, Martha,s Vinyard, etc. Their children attend the same elite universities:!Ivy League Scools like Harvard and Yale, and Oxford. Their children marry one another regardless of nationality or religion. This global elite has far more in common with each other than with the average citizens of their own countries.

The experience of D-Fens is a common one in many countries today. So watch Falling Down and be amazed at its relevance and prescience.
