“I have Netflix, Britbox and Amazon Prime. I dont even have to watch American stuff for the most part, just British!”
I love BritBox, can’t get enough of it. I can watch classics like “Keeping up Appearances”, “Fawlty Towers” & “Are You Being Served” to my heart’s content.
BritBox is definitely my favorite Roku channel.
Even that front is getting diminishing returns though. With so many “toy franchises” out there, plus all the costs that go into merch, and the bad press that comes when Hasbro decides not to include one of your main characters in the Monopoly set, that revenue stream doesn’t flow like it used to.
Oh yeah, that one. Not a good film.
My husband warned me about Dunkirk and how rough it was. It was like no movie I had seen before. I cried all the way home. There are some movies worth seeing but only a few times a year (if that). I will take my brother to see the new Star Wars in December too. He loves those films.
I’ve only cried once in the movie theater; when Private Ryan broke down in front of Capt. Miller’s grave.
It did work for the Equalizer movie...at least for me!
Just for the record....... I signed up for BritBox on Roku.
Along with NetFlix, that’s all that is needed for a very long while.
If I could find a source for streaming Fox News, Spectrum cable tv would be gone.
I’ve never seen Saving Private Ryan though both my husband and son have seen it. I think I was drawn to Dunkirk because a snippet of its history is recounted in the movie, Mrs. Miniver. My knowledge of any history is scant at best. So I went in hopes of seeing how many vessels responded to the call and to learn more about the events. I was moved to tears.
