Intel CEO Brian Krzanich quits Trump's manufacturing council
CNBC ^ | August 14, 2017 | Nyshka Chandran

Krzanich is the third executive to leave President Donald Trump's council in the span of a day — Under Armour CEO Kevin Plank and Merck CEO Kenneth Frazier both resigned earlier on Monday following the recent episode of white supremacist violence in Virginia.

"I resigned to call attention to the serious harm our divided political climate is causing to critical issues, including the serious need to address the decline of American manufacturing," Krzanich said in Monday's blog post.

"I have already made clear my abhorrence at the recent hate-spawned violence in Charlottesville, and earlier today I called on all leaders to condemn the white supremacists and their ilk who marched and committed violence," he continued.

"I resigned because I want to make progress, while many in Washington seem more concerned with attacking anyone who disagrees with them."

It's a shame because Trump is not a racist - nothing that he has said has indicated he supports these people.

True, but he wants their votes.

I seemed to have missed his comments on the “knockout game” , “black Lives Matter” and “black on black crime”.

All these libs willing to ask why do Islamists want to kill us....never heard one ask where is “white supremacy” coming from?

White supremecy is their narrative....you can be a perfectly good white person and be called a white supremest. This is their way of making white evil.

Maybe the average white person is sick and friggin tired of being demonized for their color, for their inventions, for building this great country.

he needs to go visit Scalise tomorrow then the Trump-supporting homeowner shot twice by a feral leftist

Then close the day with a speech to a roomful of ICE agents for their great success in achieving large numbers of deportations

Value-signalling clown. Maybe Trump should dissolve this council and start over with CEOs of no more than $100 million companies which are privately held. Take away the grandstanding platform and work with people who put country over company.

I don't know who approved the original speech with the "many sides" line. I figured that would be a problem. The speech should have had explicit condemnations of white supremacy, racism, anti-Semitism, and violence and then called out Antifa violence.

I'd have preferred that he explicitly called out the leftist goons who caused the mayhem. And that includes the Democrat Mayor, Governor, and police that stood down and allowed the sparks to turn into a raging fire.

This pathetic POS fails to recognize the violence perpetrated by Antifa and the divisions sown by the Democrat Thug Party.

Trump had absolutely nothing to do with Charlottesville.

GFY, Krzanich. Will not spend a cent on Intel while you’re in charge.

If he wanted to address the decline of American manufacturing, he’d stay.

IMHO:

I highly doubt Intel really and truly cares about decline of American manufacturing—my guess is CEO joined the council it to be with the “in crowd” when Trump was first elected...The council may not be so “in” now and the “cool” CEOS are leaving—so he is leaving...

Perhaps they all thought they would get handouts like Obama cronnies did...If those did not materialize, they look for reason to leave...

The CEO probably only cares about tax cuts—Huge portions of their business is overseas, and they hire H-1B Visa holders for many jobs here.

This is dated information, however, it is an indication of what it was in past...

Let's be clear what he said......”I resigned ‘to call attention’ to the serious harm our divided political climate is causing to critical issues,.... including the serious need to address the decline of American manufacturing,....

Adding further....”Politics and political agendas ‘have sidelined the important mission of rebuilding America’s manufacturing base.”......

He's right....and the media and Congressional Gope Anti- Americans are making certain all we hear about is the left’s grumbling and attacks on this administration over that of the agenda the people want..... This guy gets it.

Further...they've already given Trump their arguments and advice but you can't move a ship if those working the engines (Congress) is dead set at sabotaging and stopping the engines. Why should people stay when they know full well Congress is working against this nation? We knew the 'stronghold' of the deep state was deep and wide.....and until that's cleared out sufficiently, which is going to take ore than 6 months....then certain individuals will leave if they can't move what needs moving.....I suspect they'll come back but likely not soon.

How much of your company and reputation ...and family.... would you be willing to put on the line if threatened as the left and Gope are doing to any who stand in their way......they are playing a deadly game and could care less who they take down to get there. Not everybody can stand when their families and friends are being threatened.

We all need to remember it’s not just protest violence going on......we are not privy to that same violence going on behind the scenes in Washington..and there it’s a whole lot more deadly.

I didn’t say what I’ve really wanted to say, I’d risk banishment if I did.

The truth is, I am sick and tired of this. I’ve had my fill. I’ve had enough of leftist hate, enough of watching while people destroy this country, enough on waiting on a President (who has no support from a worthless congress) to do something about it. Enough already! Enough!

Or, it could be due to the fact that AMD is spanking Intel in CPU tech right now, for the first time in a long time.

I for one don’t think you should be in politics these days if you can’t stand on your honor. Our founding fathers faced these same perils. Their lives, their livelihoods their wealth. That is how this country was born.

If I had a chance of being elected with my past, I’d run for office, and if threatened, I’d be front and center on the news next day naming names and the threats made. I’d make sure at least soeone else was “privy”.

I haven’t led a perfect life, but if I was threatened with exposure I’d say go for it asshole....my reputation or my country...hmmmmm, gee, I don’t know....
