No. They'd most certainly intervene, because they'd have no fear of becoming the targets of a nationally coordinated left wing assault against themselves and their families.
Police departments all over the country began pulling back and standing down after the Ferguson riots. This is just more of the same, and it will continue until they get backup from the citizens and politicians.

Murders, rapes, mall shootings, etc by illegal aliens...it’s amazing what ‘liberal’ politicians will allow to further their own political power and agenda. The safety of the citizens is an afterthought or a never-thought.
