I could not show fear, because there were 2 ladies with me and I was their male protector. I do not recall the door creaking, but the man who opened the door had a slight limp, and it was a 2 story house. And we were 3 of us, and the 2 ladies were good athletes, but believe me, I was scared.

My most frightening experience was after watching Dracula (Christopher Lee as Dracula), and I slept in the only room on 3rd floor of my house, and the windows creaked like crazy during the breezy night. I was 18 years old.

OMG,he limped.

All of the stereotypes of eerie places were there at that little B&B.

It’s funny you mentioned that Dracula fear at age 18. When one of my sons was about that age “The Birds” was on TV and I recommended it to him——he couldn’t finish it,said it really creeped him out.

This from a kid who loved “Texas Chainsaw Massacre”,”Nightmare on Elm Street”, and “The Rocky Horror Picture Show”.
