Raiders coach Jack Del Rio told SFGate.com that Lynch's disrespectful behavior is not an issue for the football team.
He said, This is something I have done for 11 years. Its not a form of anything other than me being myself, Del Rio said. I told him I very strongly believe in standing for the national anthem. But I respect him as a man and he can do his thing."
Well, that doesn't speak very well of Coach Del Rio's character either. The coach respects a man who disrespects the country?
I suspect this will not be the last episode of anti-American activity at NFL games. So I recommend head coaches take immediate action to deter such behavior.
If you ride the bench during the Star-Spangled Banner, you should ride the bench for the rest of season.
It would be a gutsy move -- but unlikely -- considering the lack of courage and patriotism in the National Football League.

So You Think You Can Dance television show drops judges and choreographers when they step out of line.
Several years ago a woman was a choreographer and then a judge on the show. She wore a disrespectful military uniform one night and the show got a lot of blowback from viewers. The show's producer apologized at the very beginning number the very next week! BAM! She was summarily dismissed and never seen again on the show.
Later a choreographer did a social justice warrior number where every dancer had to do the same routine to a thoroughly disgusting piece of liberal hogwash. BAM! Gone and never returned.
Recently a homosexual, who plays a homosexual on some other TV show, proudly said to a dancer while serving as a judge "My husband is going to hate me for saying this, but I have such a man-crush on you." BAM! Gone never to return.
Meanwhile the NFL does nothing to bring this despicable display of stupidity and disrespect to a majority their fans to a halt.
That may be true. I do remember the “Hands up, don’t shoot” from the NBA...
Not that I watch any of these overpaid brats...
The NFL is close to 70% black, and most of those black players do not like to be reminded that they are just the property of the NFL.
Texas HS football keeps me occupied until Gonzaga hoops starts. What also turns me away from the NFL is fantasy football. That’s all my kids and their cousins talk about when we get together.
Alternately, the NFL could start putting into player contracts, that if they act in any way which brings disrepute to the team, with the owner being the sole and arbitrary judge, that they forfeit half their earnings for the game. THEN see how committed they are to their ideology.
