Bill Buckner was playing on bad legs...he wanted to play... I have been playing soccer for Thirty plus years, Bad knees are NOT an excuse. Lack of Concentration and bad pitching did in the Red Sox.
Bobby Orr may have had bad knees as a excuse - Possibly!
