“They won the special elections to replace Trump’s cabinet selections
What is he talking about? “

I caught that too.

I’ve noticed the past few days that the Russian narrative is all but gone off the front pages of WaPo NYT WSJ and has been replaced with a new “insane” narrative.

. .he appears to be discombobulating the body politic without any evidence of scheming or careful calculation.”

Yeah. He just tells the truth. No need to scheme.

Yep, they try anything and everything and hope something will stick. All of them are just absurd. I quit watching a lot of news lately. Waste of time and full of BS.

I’ll take issue with the title. Democrats have been living in crazy for years now . . . The Donald is driving them way past lunacy since before November. The teddy bears, the comfort and safe spaces, students being allowed to change their grades are totally signs of lunacy.

In fact, we are watching half of our country entering into the realm of insanity.

And that is dangerous.

GO TRUMP!!!!

What is he talking about?

I think the "they" he is talking about are the Republicans and his point is that even though the Republicans won, the margin was slim. This is the argument that the MSM was making to encourage the Democrats. It is whistling past the grave yard. I think the Dems are going to get stomped in the next 2018 elections.

Trump’s economic policies are NOT to the “left” of Cankles.

And sometimes common sense does NOT fit immediate logic: cut taxes? Gubment has MORE monsy. Go into a skid on ice? Turn INTO the skid.

They know they can’t control congress from LA, SanFran, and NYC. So their plan has been
1) those cities and a few others keep electing president
2) president expands regulations and executive power
3) president appoints judges to allow expanse of executive branch and exclude congress
4) 1 person elected every 4/8 years (which they control) and 5 appointed SC justices and 100s of other appointed judges literally run the country regardless of what voters want or what the Constitution says.

It is the progressive plan from 100 years ago. Put “the right people” in place and you can force “the right social change” against voters wishes. They’ve been focused on this plan for a long time. And they were SO CLOSE. They are going crazy because they don’t know what to do next.

Is Trump a blip in the process? Can they correct it in 2020? Even if so, the SC part of their plans could be greatly harmed.

Is it a longer term problem? How much damage will Trump do in that time in reducing regulations and changing courts and restoring the power of congress? Can they get the executive branch back on track in 2024 or will even a D candidate need to respect congress and the Constitution to win. SC is probably lost for decades even if they win in 2024. How can that be corrected especially with Trump filling lower courts for 8 years?

Is it a permanent problem and they cannot control the country from a few large cities? Do they try to find the smallest number of cities to appeal to in order to win presidential elections? Or do they need to start from scratch and build a strategy and objectives that appeal to the entire country? It is the opposite of the progressive agenda, but is also the first step of the progressive strategy since they need to get the right people in power to do they things voters don’t want done. It’s literally stepping back 100 years in order to “do it right” over the next century.

For anyone wanting a few people to literally control the country, there is no obvious answer. Older Ds will probably not see their dreams materialize. Younger Ds don’t know if the step backward (Hillary’s loss) will be small enough that they can still see the dream reached, or so large that they can only start a process that they will never see the end of (like progressives 100 years ago). That drives them crazy. So crazy they don’t even see that Rs in congress would join them in many objectives (obamacare, amnesty,...) if they would only agree to share control.

“Donald Trump’s favorability ratings are as low as anyone can remember their being for a sitting president.”

Still, I’ve heard that over the last week his favorability rating has risen from 39% to 45%. That must have Dem heads’ exploding all over the place. One more week of his tough stand and he’ll be up at about 75%.

Those cabinet selections by Trump left vacated offices back home in those states.

Those states had replacement elections and we won them.

It is a case of saying too little, a type of communication error that seems to be becoming more common. The reference is to people who were in elected office and were asked by Trump to serve in the cabinet so special elections were held to replace them in the elected office, people like Mick Mulvaney who was serving in the house when Trump asked him to join the cabinet.

Part of the confusion is that it should be a “, but” to make a compound sentence; instead he writes it as “. But”, making the following sentence into a fragment.

When professional writers don’t follow the rules of grammar.

That's a nice thought out analysis, but the reason evil always loses is because it can only destroy, not create.

Whatever label is attached to this movement, whether it's socialism, communism or cultural marxism, only serves to mask the true intention, which is destruction of what is envied.

Peace, prosperity, the betterment of the human condition are driven by knowledge. Because progressive are so focused on hate, they are constantly caught unaware of technological advances.

Communists didn't anticipate the fluidity of capitalism's creative destruction back in the 30s, and marxists today didn't fully grasp how the 'net would break the media monopoly.

Every time statists think they are close to finally seizing control and imposing their will, the annoying habit of innovation spoils their plans. That's why they constantly feel frustrated - they seem to be so near, and yet the ring of power is always just out of reach.

Trump is the most recent manifestation of their continual defeat. Optimism always trumps pessimism - it's what drives the quest for knowledge, the discovery of new tools & techniques to improve human life. If you're always focused on hate & destruction, you never see - nor fully comprehend - the next monkey wrench to be thrown into plans for power & control.
