FBI agents raided the Alexandria home of President Trump’s former campaign chairman late last month, using a search warrant to seize documents and other materials, according to people familiar with the special counsel investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.
Federal agents appeared at Paul Manafort’s home without advance warning in the predawn hours of July 26, the day after he met voluntarily with the staff for the Senate Intelligence Committee.
The search warrant was wide-ranging and FBI agents working with special counsel Robert S. Mueller III departed the home with various records.

I was trying to figure out how the Fifth Amendment factors into it. I guess the answer is that they are talking about subpoena v. warrant. With a subpoena, you’re asking the subpoenaed party to make a decision as to what is relevant, and in doing so, you are basically making an admission. With a warrant, the officers executing the warrant make that decision.
You and the moonbat Leftists are equally giddy—if not actually delirious—over the partisan antics at the FBI. Mueller is the first special counsel in history appointed to locate a crime no one else could find. Special counsels are supposed to be appointed to investigate an actual crine. But in this case all the known crimes are on the Democrat side, so they had to improvise. Appoint Mueller, give him an unlimited budget, and tell him to find something on Trump.
The only people who are thrilled and delighted over this are you and the moonbat Leftists. Shows your true colors, alright.

In a universe where Trump is not President, Manafort would be at the top of a pyramid of pictures in a justice department conference room. He would be a major “get.”
DOJ would still be looking at him that way. Where this is going to be interesting is if he is indicted on something not related to President Trump. The Left will be screaming cover-up while the Right is going to be screaming “Nothing to see here.”
Three years ago, everyone would likely be saying, “Guy deserves it.”
