Shame on Trump if he has fallen for that.

I fear it is worse than that and Kelly’s filtering of information to the president misled him on Strange. At least that way, of course, Trump wasn’t knowingly lying to us.

It was a stupid move by Trump. It will get him nothing and it makes wonder if he knows what is going on with the base. McMaster and Rosenstein are still there so l don’t think he does.

I am pretty sure this is the result of Trump’s poor choice of advisers surrounding him. Strange has already vowed in writing to maintain the 60-vote rule in the Senate. He also has a pretty foul corruption stench and is being heavily funded by McConnell and Rove. Nough said.

Big mistake on Trump’s part. Kelly likely to blame.

Yep—that he put Kelly in as CoS six months in shows that he still hasn’t brought himself to realize the extent of the 5th column within his WH hires.

Funny...Ha,ha, pity you totally missed out on who are the Swamp monsters... Congress. Not one dime of tax payers dollars get dealt until Congress initiates. Trump has to deal with the Swamp monsters, we the people send to tax, mandate and regulate US. Few in Congress actually fulfill their oath of office. If the Congress wanted they have the power to reign in the leftist running the judiciary.

A big league mistake by the President. He should keep his nose out of state politics because he doesn’t understand the political histories involved. If there’s anything he doesn’t need, it’s another GOPe senator to side with the other turncoats.

I used Mo as an attorney to refinance my house, he was more thorough than the original guy finding where 1/2 the mineral rights were sold that I didn't know about.

As the DA it seems Mo's emphasis was against pornography and gogo bars, not drugs. Probably why he lost the DA election.

I talked one on one to him a few years ago asking him to vouch for me with the DOS so I could get my Thai Wife a visa, he was less than supportive.

So I am less than supportive of him. But would not really mind him there over Strange.

“Currently Trump has nothing to lose with the endorsement.”

I don’t agree there’s nothing to lose. There’s more in play here than just the individual Senate seat, there’s the broader Drain The Swamp agenda to consider.

What does it say to potential candidates considering a 2018 primary run against a RINO when the President endorses the biggest swamp-creature in a 3-way race with two other decent conservative picks?

We’ve all seen the failure of McConnell, Ryan and the rest to deliver on what they’ve been promising for 7 years. Now is the time the movement to replace them needs to be gathering strength. This endorsement seems like a big help to McConnell is shoring up his defenses against that movement.

Have no doubt he’ll now be singing a tune of ‘I can get the President to endorse my preferred candidates’ to big money donors. The loss here could well be millions of $$$ extra in primary funds for the swamp-creatures.

That’s OK, Mo. I don’t care who Trump endorsed. I am voting for Judge Moore.

Trump is trying to get the Senate GOP on his side when in reality they want him stymied.

I accept the Strange endorsement as strategically correct and send my donation to Moore while hoping that Moore or Brooks will win it.

He hasn’t read Art of the Deal yet. Trump is not misled. If he plays a strange card in the game, think 1. Long term and 2. Gambit.

Brooks is classy. I hope he or Moore manages to win, despite this spanner Trump needlessly threw into the works.

Mo Brooks can’t escape his rabid anti-Trump rhetoric, though he pretends it doesn’t matter now. Mo Brooks bet on the wrong horse.

That’s ridiculous. All Trump had to do is not endorse anyone if he were wanted to respond to some sort of perceived pressure to back the Rove/McConnell candidate.

And Strange has already vowed to stick to the filibuster majority, which is expressly against Trump’s stated position.

Big mistake by Trump. Mo Brooks is one of the best GOP Reps and will be great in the Senate. He is basically Jeff Session’s Mk.II.

Luther Strange is a typical swamp creature, supported by the bad guys.

It takes nothing for Trump to pivot to whomever wins. Right now, it’s important that he not antagonize ANY senator. It’s that tight.

The media knows Luther is dirty, they just keep it on the downlow.
