That’s the average overall life expectancy for men and women in the U.S., but what is the average life expectancy for men and women who have already reached the age of, say, 60 or 70? It’s probably at least 5-6 years higher than those numbers you posted.

LOL... me too. She had one of the silkiest voices of all time. I'm soon to be 59.

Bought an Ovation Balladeer guitar back in 1974 after seeing GC play one on TV. Hope he’s picking in Heaven with John Hartford tonight. Adios and Godspeed, GC.

I remember Campbell in True Grit and how John Wayne praised him for his acting in the movie.

...

I read the other day that Elvis was the first pick for that role.

Campbell was an outstanding guitarist. He was in “The Wrecking Crew” and played on a number of Gary Lewis and the Playboys, The each Boys and other groups, recordings.
++++
Quite so but I'm betting not widely recognized by his (justifiably) adoring public.

Next time you watch a Glen Campbell video on YouTube take look at Glen's hands. Flying Pick and Flying Fingers. You will be amazed.

There are some audio posts on YouTube of Karen Carpenter’s isolation tracks (her vocal tracks directly out of the soundbooth, no other vocals or instruments).

They are amazing. She supposedly one-tracked most of her vocals.
