Do you remember the moment, during the Kuwait conflict, when you learned of the existence of stealth technology? That was 28 years ago. Even with the disastrous years of Obama, just imagine what weapons we have now which have not yet been seen in use. Fire and fury indeed.
There are not any new cutting edge weapons. Obama made sure of that. Missile defense systems could be extremely advanced and deployable - Obama cut development to a trickle. BTW Stealth was common knowledge long before DS1 to those who closely observe the military.
It was the Carter administration which developed rapid digital relays of satellite photos. A major milestone electronic espionage.
Who would have guessed that?
Of course, Nixon and JFK had helped lead up to such a development. And of course Ike had let the way with his spy plane — I think it was called the ‘U2’.
So despite Obama we have reason to hope.
