TEXAS -- One of the most eloquent opponents of Texas' proposed gender bathroom law began identifying as a girl four years ago, when she was 3.
It was at that age that Frank and Rachel Gonzales started to realize their child, Libby, wasn't living the life she was born to live.
It wasn't always clear to them how best to support their first born. While on a family trip to California, Rachel took Libby -- then still called by her birth name -- to the toy store. It was there that things "came to a boil."
"I said, 'You can pick out anything from the gift store,' " Rachel recalled. Libby pointed at a fairy costume with a pink skirt and wings. "This is what I want."

I agree. It is incredible how people cave in to the current “whims” of so called society that are destroying our country. When I was five I wanted an electric train for Christmas and I am a girl. I received an electric train from my grandmother. I wanted my own shotgun when I was 12 and received my treasured Browning A5. I loved the out of doors and still do. In my family, so called “boys” sports were enjoyed by all including my parents and grandparents. I carried on the traditions with my children and grandchildren. I feel that I was fortunate to have a very well rounded upbringing and my life has been richer for it. STOP trying to “label” everything and put everyone in a same sized box.

I was never confused, always a tomboy, but always a girl -— and I don’t think preferences in clothing or activities are definitive. I was interested in boys, then men -— still am. Girls have never interested me much at all. Make-up, fashion, and frilly just aren’t me. I’m more of a Margaret Thatcher kind of woman. Thirty one years military service and still happily female. I like comfortable, sturdy, useful furniture and my home decor would make an interior decorator weep inconsolably. I think I was born a few years too late, because I suspect that it was a lot of strong women like me that helped to settle the west. I would rather be out working with the cows or building something than cooking something fancy. Still live in jeans and boots -— but no one is going to look at me and think I am a guy. Still 100% female just as God made me!!!
I’m so glad to hear that others benefitted from hormone therapy like our son did. There were many times that he was treated poorly by others because of his size. It affected him greatly.
I totally blame the parents. Instead of this reaching this pitch, they SHOUL HAVE gotten HIM psychiatric help. This is one screwed up kid. God help him.

My daughter had a few negative experiences. I told that she could tell people, “It’s not my fault that I’m short, but it’s your fault that you’re an as$h*le!” Just the permission was sufficient: I don’t think she ever actually did it.
They are not insane, just failures...incapable of sayng “no” to a 3 year old.

I was thinking the same thing: Munchausen by proxy. It’s this age of notoriety. Everyone wants to be in the news even if his child’s life is ruined by it. It’s me, me, me. When the child figures out that he was used as a pawn and his “authentic” self is finally revealed, they will be murderous.
